Selected sixteen times as one of the Top 20 October Events by
the Southeast Tourism Society. Festivities
are held the second full weekend in October,
Thursday through Sunday, from 9 a.m. until dark each day,
regardless of weather. Ample free parking is
available. Event admission rates
apply. Tickets are available at the gate, but
advance tickets are available at reduced rates--see
the link above for ticket order form.
Students are invited to come to the Thursday
preceding Homecoming, our Appalachian Heritage
Day for Students. We introduced an
exciting new
format for 2007, with more activities and music
geared to children. We continue to build and improve on those changes.

The Museum of Appalachia is open during daylight hours
year-round, except Thanksgiving & Christmas Day. Closing times
vary with the seasons, depending upon daylight hours.
